Lékárníci Hans Trojel a V. H. Meyer založili firmu TOMS roku 1924. Čokoláda Guld barre se vyrábí od roku 1938. Tyčinka Yankie se objevila na trhu roku 1946. Nová továrna v Ballerupu byla otevřena roku 1962.

Pharmacists Hans Trojel and V. H. Meyer founded the TOMS Chocolate Company in 1924. Chocolate bar Guld barre is produced since 1938. The Yankie Bar was developed in 1946. New chocolate factory in Ballerup was opened in 1962.
